On 12 June 1871, Sarah Minnie Ephramina Jensen, aged fifteen, entered into matrimony with Lorenzo Snow, a fifty-seven-year-old LDS apostle, thus becoming his ninth and last spouse. Their age gap amounted to 41 and a half years. Over time, she bore him five children, contributing to his total of 42 offspring.
