The message of Mormonism has always been that an angel taught Joseph Smith an alternate gospel, under the guise of being “restored.”

Despite these claims, no evidence exists that a great apostasy ever occurred. There was no need for a restoration to be made.

Clearly, LDS leaders should not be quoting Galatians to make a case for themselves.

“As the Apostle Paul said ‘[Though] we[,] or an angel from heaven[,] preach any other gospel [unto you] than that [which] we have preached [unto you,] let him be accursed’ [Galatians 1:8].”
