On 27 Aug 2010, the Appeals Court ruled against Utah Memorial Crosses; stating that highway crosses are unconstitutional.
Not only is it unconstitutional, the LDS Church does not endorse the symbol of the cross.

In this same passage, he mentions wearing a cross is “in very poor taste.” (page 17)
You will not find a symbol of the cross in any LDS Church.
Mormons attempt to fit in with Christianity, while at the same time crying “foul” for patriotic (and other) reasons.
