There are several instances in the Book of Mormon where people are taken advantage of, or even killed – while they are drunk. At times, the murderers supply the wine to their foes.

One must assume that since the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints views the Book of Mormon as scripture, screwing someone over by getting them drunk is an officially approved method for the “righteous” to gain the upper hand.
