Joseph Smith, Jr. claimed the ancient Pearl of Great Price, Book of Abraham text was “written by his [Abraham’s] own hand” and as such, his autograph. It is not possible that Abraham’s handwriting could have been found on a type of papyrus that didn’t exist until nearly two millennia after his death.
