“Mormons believe that in 1820 God proclaimed that all religions are wrong and that their creeds are abominations and that their professors are all corrupt. They also teach that only those baptized in their religion will reach the highest degree of heaven; because Mormonism is God’s only 100% true Church.
“The saving ordinances are baptism, confirmation, ordination to the Melchezidek Priesthood, the endowment (plus the ‘washing and anointing’ by connection), and the sealing ordinances. One cannot live with God in his presence without these; you must be baptized in the LDS church to be fully saved. You don’t need to be baptized if salvation means only to be free of Satan’s power. Those who inherit lower kingdoms are free from him, and are, in a sense, saved. But if salvation means living directly in God’s presence, then one must be baptized into Mormonism.”
