“[T]he Book of Mormon was the most correct of any book on earth …”
Joseph Smith – 28 November 1841, History of the Church – Volume 4 (Salt Lake City, UT: Deseret Book Company, 1976 Brown Leather Edition), 461.
The 1840 edition’s cover page states: “CAREFULLY REVISED BY THE TRANSLATOR.”
This raises an important question: How many revisions are needed for the “most correct” book ever written, claimed to be the direct word of God?
Apparently, quite a few—nearly 4,000 changes to date.
Moreover, several errors from the original manuscripts remain uncorrected.
