The Book of Mormon carries a distinctly Biblical tone, incorporating over 27,000 words from the Bible, often verbatim and in the King James style. In some cases, these passages even precede Biblical texts.

One might argue that while the Book of Mormon is presented as ‘Another Testament of Jesus Christ,’ much of its content actually mirrors ‘The Same Testament of Jesus Christ.’ Recently, a clever friend even dubbed it ‘The Testament of Another Jesus Christ.’
