It’s odd that with the thousands of changes made to the original Book of Mormon manuscripts, that simple, glaring, and embarrassing errors remain.

One such example is Jacob 5:2, “Hearken, O ye house of Israel, and hear the words of me, a prophet of the Lord.” A simple modification would help this ridiculous verse seem almost biblical, “Hearken, O ye house of Israel, and hear the words of a prophet of the Lord.” Or better, perhaps, “Hearken, O ye house of Israel, and hear the prophet of the Lord.”
